30 Jun Media Spotlight on Rainbow Riots’ International Youth Exchange
Rainbow Riots Builds Bridges Between Young People in Sweden, London and Uganda
We’re proud that Rainbow Riots’ international youth exchange project has been featured by QX, Scandinavia’s largest LGBTQI news outlet.
The article follows young LGBTQI people in Uganda – where same-sex relationships are criminalised under one of the world’s harshest anti-LGBTQI laws – and pupils and students in Sweden and the UK, who came together to build understanding and solidarity across borders.
“When young people truly meet one another, it becomes much harder to dehumanise someone once you’ve heard their story. At a time when anti-LGBTQI attitudes are increasing, creating opportunities for young people to understand each other’s realities is more important than ever,” says Rainbow Riots founder Petter Wallenberg.
